What problem areas does a Peel target?
Chemical peels may be used to treat a variety of skin complaints, depending on the depth of the peel, including: ·
- wrinkles and fine lines
- sun damage
- acne scars
- uneven skin tone or redness
How long does each treatment take?
Treatment takes about 30 to 45 minutes.
How many treatments will I need?
Peels are generally not a single treatment. Depending on your skin concerns, 3-6 treatments may be required in the first few months, followed by 1 maintenance treatment every 3 months. Your consultant can advise you of the appropriate treatment regimen to maximise your results during your consultation.
Is a Peel suitable for me?
Most individuals are ideal candidates for this treatment. PRP is not recommended for smokers due to their decreased platelet activity.
What are the possible side effects?
Common side effects are temporary and include redness, dryness, stinging or burning, and slight swelling. Most of our patients are able to go back to their regular daily activities after their treatment.
Deep Chemical peels can, however, have more serious risks and dangerous side effects that can be permanent. We will discuss the expected outcome of your peel treatment at your consultation.
