What problem areas does PRP target?
What kind of results do you get? natural platelet rich formula can help improve sun-damaged skin and fine lines, dark circles under the eyes, pigmentation and more! The most common treatment areas for PRP are face, neck and décolletage. Being an all-natural treatment, results are not immediate, but will gradually start to become evident over the next 3-6 months.
What can I expect in the treatment?
A small amount of blood is drawn from the arm, treated in a centrifuge, and then the platelet-rich plasma is injected into the face and or other treated areas. Injections are made in strategic areas to encourage skin healing and renewal through new collagen production and fresh skin cells full of human growth factors. This increase in collagen and growth factors creates a more youthful, plumper, and firmer appearing skin.
Whilst the procedure is not painful, some minor discomfort may be experienced.
How long does each treatment take?
Treatment takes about 40 to 60 minutes, depending on which areas are being treated.
How many treatments will I need?
Depending on your skin concerns, 2-3 treatments may be required in the first few months, followed by 1 maintenance treatments every 6-12 months. Your consultant can advise you of the appropriate treatment regimen to maximise your results during your consultation.
Is PRP suitable for me?
Most individuals are ideal candidates for this treatment. PRP is not recommended for smokers due to their decreased platelet activity.
